Marian is a native of Carlow, and a graduate of NUI Maynooth. Her professional development has encompassed the study of voice and choral conducting with the CME Institute (U.S.A); A.B.C.D. London; CNC, Ireland, and the Estill Voice System, U.K.
Marian’s specialises as a Music Educator for young children, designing and facilitating music education programmes for primary schools, community events and festivals. She has also studied “Orff Schulwerk” (Orff U.K.) a creative approach to music education with young children, while also facilitating Department of Education “In-service Teaching Training” courses for primary teachers.
With extensive experience as a Choral Practitioner she is Artistic Director of community choir “Córmíosa”; Choral Practitioner, Music Generation Laois; Assistant Choral Director Aspiro-Inspired; Director of Music, Cathedral of the Assumption, Carlow, Choral Clinician for the Diocese of Kildare & Leighlin, and various other arts led initiates in the County.
