Launch of MGC’S Traditional Orchestra

This week marks the launch of Music Generation Carlow’s Traditional Orchestra.  To coincide with the national Culture Night 2013 festival, the members of MGC’S Traditional Orchestra, along with a host of established local musicians, will perform a “Flashmob” of traditional tunes from 7pm to 7.30pm on Friday 20th September in Fairgreen Shopping Centre, Carlow.  This exciting event will not only celebrate Carlow’s involvement in Culture Night 2013 but will also be the Traditional Orchestra’s first local performance!

Music Generation Carlow will be hosting rehearsals from 4-6.30pm in the Parish Centre, College St. Carlow for young traditional musicians from 5th class-18 years, followed by their first ever traditional orchestra performance.
